Lúcuma (Pouteria lucuma)

It was a superfood of the Incas, considered an exotic fruit, due to its color, aroma and flavor. This fruit has been gaining more popularity in recent years due to the discovery and dissemination of its bioactive components such as ascorbic acid, carotenes, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals; that give it functional properties, which have not gone unnoticed and have generated a massive increase in its consumption. The mesocarp has a very pleasant flavor and aroma, an intense yellow color, floury texture, and a soft consistency.
